Game calendar
The game runs four times faster than real time: one real year holds four game seasons.
Seasons
A season starts on the first of the month and lasts 13 weeks:
| Season | Starts on |
|---|---|
| Spring | 1 March |
| Summer | 1 June |
| Autumn | 1 September |
| Winter | 1 December |
The club history names seasons the same way: “Spring 2026”, “Summer 2026” and so on.
One season is one game year. Players get a year older every season, and in the off-season the young ones gain in class while veterans lose it. See Player development.
The weeks of a season
| Weeks | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1–9 | The regular championship: 18 rounds, two a week |
| 10 | Play-offs for promotion and survival (planned) |
| 11–12 | The World Cup for national teams (planned) |
| 13 | The off-season |
For now only the championship is played, so after round 18 there are no matches until the next season.
Rounds
- Rounds are played on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Round 1 is on the first Wednesday of the season.
- Kick-off is at 20:00 UTC, the same time for the whole world.
- In a round every league plays five matches, all at once.
- The first half of the season is nine rounds, everyone against everyone. The second half repeats the pairs with home and away swapped.
What happens between seasons
When a new season starts, the game wraps up the previous one:
- League champions go up a division, and the weakest clubs go down. See Leagues and divisions.
- The season goes into the club’s history: the league, the place and the outcome. See History and records.
- Club prestige and fierce rivals are worked out again. See Prestige and Rivals and derbies.
- Players get a year older, the oldest retire and youngsters take their place. Form and stamina are set afresh.
- The fixtures of the new season are drawn up.
